Labor and Social Protection
Social protection is concerned with preventing, managing and overcoming situations that affect people's well-being, especially in contexts where opportunities for employment and income generation and means of subsistence are limited or non-existent.
Social protection plays a fundamental role in the development and well-being of countries, especially in developing countries like Mozambique. In these contexts, where poverty and inequality are major challenges, social protection is essential to reduce vulnerability and ensure that citizens have a decent standard of living.
ALTERNACTIVA researches and advocates for Mozambique to invest in robust and accessible social protection systems that can foster a more inclusive and sustainable society to promote equality, ensure social stability, stimulate human development and strengthen the resilience of communities, especially the most vulnerable .
